As of January 2004, all exported wood products need to be compliant with the International Plant Protection Committee’s industrial standard to regulate wood and wood packaging in international trade.  That’s why Ohio Specialties is a member of the Timber Products Inspection’s Heat Treatment Program. 

All of our facilities are in compliance with the International Plant Protection Committee’s Guidelines for Regulating Wood Packaging Material in International Trade.  By agreeing to these regulations, Ohio Specialties has agreed to:

• Maintain complete and up-to-date Heat Treatment records
• Produce and market quality products that conform to the Heat Treatment standards
• Apply the Timber Products Inspection mark only to products that have been proven through monitoring
